Irish for a day...

Happy St. Patrick's Day. I left the house this morning with no idea that there was a St. Patties parade downtown. But, being the people watcher that I am, I couldn't resist the opportunity to watch silly bystanders with "Kiss Me I'm Irish" tee-shirts and Guinness hats.

Parades are REALLY tough to photograph, because there is so much dead space between people. But, my zoom lens gave me a chance to pull in some of the diverse faces and bright colors. So, enjoy :)

And yes, there is even a nice photo of our charming mayor amongst these images.

Very nice John. I think it's fair to say that you've gotten a good deal more comfortable (and more proficient) with taking pictures of people you don't know.

And you really should have double dipped and put one of these photos on Strangers also.

I like the Irish Wolfhound all decked out for the Holiday...I have been wanting to get one of those dogs for years...but there are always too many that need a second chance like Tucker and Bear.....

James: I've got some other shots that I can put on Strangers. Never fear :)

Buddy: You know, there was an Irish Wolfhound Society that was marching. So, there were these guys all over! They were really popular with the kids sitting in front of me.
